Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde briefly talked to the press outside of Valdebebas, revealing that he will be available to face Osasuna in next Tuesday’s season opener.
“Yes, I’m feeling much better. I’ll be ready, for sure,” he said when asked about the muscle fatigue which kept him out of Tuesday’s friendly against Tirol.
Valverde will be a crucial player for Real Madrid this season, so the coaching staff should try to keep him fresh and ready in order for him to avoid injuries and fatigue. Los Blancos have lost some depth in the midfield line after Luka Modric’s departure and Bellingham won’t be available to play until late October, so it will be extremely important for Madrid to make rotations often during the first few months of the season.
Eduardo Camavinga will likely miss the upcoming match against Osasuna as well, so Alonso and his coaching staff deciding to give Valverde the opportunity to recover from his muscle fatigue made a lot of sense.
