Fabio Silva is somehow still a Wolves player, and the latest update on the striker may mean his situation remains the same for the time being.
Fabio Silva has been linked with an exit from Wolves all summer, and in previous transfer windows.
It was recently claimed that both Silva and Wolves were ‘adamant’ that he would leave permanently this summer.
But, with just three weeks left in the window, he remains on the books.
Borussia Dortmund have been showing strong interest in Silva, presented a five-year contract offer to the player recently.
But the German club are now said to have taken a big decision regarding Silva.

It has now been claimed by Rudy Galetti that Borussia Dortmund have backed away from negotiations with Wolves to sign Silva.
He said on X: “BVB have decided to END their pursuit of Fabio Silva after failed talks with Wolves, who have raised their asking price.

“Only a change in conditions could make the club reconsider, while other teams keep monitoring the striker’s situation.”
In his report on TEAMtalk, Galetti adds that Dortmund have been left ‘unhappy’ about Domenico Teti refusing to meet with their own officials to negotiate.

It is thought Wolves want at least £21.5 million for Silva, plus add-ons.
Dortmund’s latest bid for Silva was worth around £17 million, so clearly there is a fair gap in the valuations of both clubs right now.
Wolves had apparently been expecting another bid from Dortmund, but it seems the Champions League club may not come back to the table now.
RB Leipzig could also be off the table for Fabio Silva
While it is admirable that Wolves are sticking to their guns and trying to sell Silva for the highest possible price, there is also a danger of actually pricing suitors out.
Dortmund seem not to want to go near that £21.5 million asking price, but Wolves will hope one of the other clubs interested will.

But one other club who now look off the table for Silva is RB Leipzig.
They have also shown interest, but according to Fabrizio Romano, they have agreed a deal to sign Brazilian striker Romulo, who ironically was also linked with Wolves recently.
So it’s looking like there’s still plenty of work to be done to sanction Silva’s exit – hopefully, the club will not be stuck with him come the end of the window.
