Last box to tick in Nottingham Forest exit – Agent commission agreed

Nottingham Forest’s sale of Carlos Miguel is now basically wrapped up, with just one last box to tick.

[As UOL journalist Danilo Lavieri explains](https://www.uol.com.br/esporte/colunas/danilo-lavieri/2025/08/11/palmeiras-resolve-entrave-com-agentes-e-trabalha-com-data-por-carlos-miguel.htm), the hold-up wasn’t about transfer fees or contracts, but over something far more behind-the-scenes: the agents’ commission.

Carlos Miguel is represented by Gilmar Veloz, but the move was first presented to Giuliano Bertolucci, who has close ties to Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis. The delay came from the two needing to agree on how to split their cut.

_“That was the last detail for Palmeiras to seal the signing of Carlos Miguel. The only thing missing was the agents’ commission,”_ Lavieri said. _“Now Veloz and Bertolucci have reached an agreement, and that obstacle is gone.”_

The fee for Nottingham Forest is around €4m, and now the only thing left is a small bureaucratic step over the payment schedule, not something the buying club expects to cause trouble.

If all goes to plan, Carlos Miguel could be on the training pitch in Brazil by the end of the week.
