Illan Meslier still remains at Elland Road, despite multiple links to an exit. He has been under consideration by multiple teams, but none have pursued a move.

According to Graeme Bailey, Paris Saint-Germain are the latest side to take a look at the Frenchman. There is serious interest from French and Italian clubs this summer:

As it stands am told there is interest, mainly coming from France but a few others.

“Lille are one who have been approached following Lucas Chevalier’s move. Am told that PSG have looked should they lose their current no 2 Arnau Tenas. There is also Como.

“The problem for Leeds is the longer this goes in the window they might have to loan him. But Leeds are working hard to get him out.”

What Daniel Farke has said about Illan Meslier

This weekend, Lucas Perri continued in goal in the game against AC Milan. And to the surprise of many, Meslier was nowhere to be seen on the squad list. The Frenchman’s squad number had also been taken away from him.

It was after the game that Daniel Farke addressed the situation. The Leeds boss made it clear where Meslier lies in the squad pecking order:

”Karl is ahead of [Meslier] in the pecking order at the moment.

”He had a fantastic finish last season and also really good pre-season. So there’s no need for me to change the order.

”Meslier was more or less number 2 behind Karl. Karl doesn’t give me any reason to change the pecking order.”

This could mean that the 25-year old could leave before the season kicks off.
