There’s a claim in the Turkish media Fenerbahce are showing interest in Arsenal midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The Ukraine international looks surplus to requirements at the Emirates and this could open the door for the Super Lig side.
Sabah today report on Fenerbahce’s pursuit for the Arsenal player and say Jose Mourinho has held a meeting with him. It’s claimed Zinchenko is interested in a transfer to Istanbul after Mourinho informed him he would be utilised as a midfielder rather than being played at left back.
According to the Turkish newspaper, Arsenal value the Ukrainian at €20m, but Fenerbahce only want to loan the loan, with an option to purchase.
Their sporting director Devin Özek has reportedly been in negotiations with the Gunners and has offered a rental fee of €3m, with an option to buy of €10m. There are no reports if the Premier League side will accept this offer from the Yellow Canaries.
Zinchenko made just 23 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring one goal. He’s contracted to Arsenal until 2026.
