Southampton head coach Will Still expects Tyler Dibling to be reintegrated back into the squad soon. The winger has been a transfer target for Everton this summer.

Dibling was a bright spark in a poor season for Saints last season and is considered one of the best young English talents around. He is clearly a player who has caught the Blues' eye too, as they've made three bids for the 19-year-old already in this window.

None of those have been accepted yet though. Dibling is believed to be valued in the region of £50million by Southampton, although Everton are seemingly reluctant to go that high for the winger.

While speculation has swirled over a possible transfer, Dibling has been left out of the last two Southampton squads. They won 2-1 in the Championship against Wrexham on Saturday and 1-0 over Northampton in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Still was asked about Dibling's situation after the latter clash. "I think as long as he's at the football club, he'll be involved," he said.

"I think we've shown it with Matty Fernandes (who is subject of interest from West Ham United).

"But we just need to make sure that he's getting the right headspace and committed to what we're doing.

"If that's the case, over the next couple of days, if he wants to be a part of it and he wants to be involved, then he will be.

"But ultimately, it's pretty much down to him."

Everton have been busy in the transfer window this summer. The arrival of Jack Grealish on loan on Tuesday is their sixth signing with Carlos Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, Mark Travers, Adam Aznou and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also joining.

More arrivals are anticipated though, as manager David Moyes is keen to add more new faces to the squad ahead of a historic first season at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The ECHO understands that right-back, central midfield and a right-sided forward player are still targets.

Dibling, while left-footed, played on the right side for Southampton last season and would give Everton an exciting new dimension in that part of the pitch.

As things stand, the Blues do not have a natural right winger in the squad. Grealish, Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil are all more comfortable playing centrally or off the left flank.
