Everton manager David Moyes is a big admirer of Southampton winger Tyler Dibling and is trying to get a deal done.
Moyes has already made a £43m bid for Dibling, however, the Championship promotion hopefuls have rejected it.
Everton have been left feeling frustrated over the Dibling deal and have threatened to walk away from talks.
Dibling has asked to leave Southampton, so there is mounting pressure on the South Coasters to reduce their demands.
Now, it seems there has been a breakthrough in talks as Everton have now received a counteroffer.

Southampton send Everton counter-offer for Tyler Dibling
It looked as though the Dibling deal was dead in the water, as it was reported that Moyes was looking elsewhere following Saints’ £50m demand.
However, Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg has now broken the news that Saints have sent a ‘counter-offer’ to Everton, which they can accept at any time, and it will instantly activate an agreement.

It’s not yet understood how much the counter-offer is, however, Plettenberg does note that it’s likely to be lower than their initial demand.
Clearly, Southampton recognise they have an unhappy player and a sale is the best outcome for all parties.
🚨🔵 Southampton have made a counter-offer to Everton regarding Tyler #Dibling. Everton can accept this offer at any time, which would trigger the deal.

Moyes will want Tyler Dibling in by Leeds United
Perhaps Everton may come back and try to negotiate the counter-offer, but Moyes will certainly be keen for this not to go on any longer.
The Toffees face Leeds United in the Premier League on Monday, and his side are still short of options on the right flank.
So the Scotsman will hope to get Dibling in before then, which could result in the Friedkins accepting the counter-offer offer so a medical can be booked this week.
At the moment, Ndiaye may be forced to play out of position on the right, which isn’t an ideal situation heading into the new season.
