Marcus Rashford has spoken honestly about Manchester United’s rebuild under Ruben Amorim after leaving for Barcelona.
Last season, Marcus Rashford was frozen out by Ruben Amorim, with the Portuguese head coach critical of the forward’s attitude.
There was concern around Rashford’s behaviour at Carrington, and instead of fighting for his spot in the second half of the season, he left to join Aston Villa on loan.
Villa were unable to afford the 27-year-old this summer, so Rashford completed a ‘dream’ Barcelona loan and has hit the ground running in Spain.

Marcus Rashford urges Man United to stick with Ruben Amorim
During his 10-year stint in the United first team, Rashford has played under several managers.
He has also been shoved into many different formations and styles of play and expected to adapt.
As quoted by The Telegraph, Rashford told Gary Lineker’s Rest is Football podcast: “People say that we’ve been in a transition for years, but to be in a transition you have to start it. The actual transition hasn’t started yet.

“When Liverpool went through this, they got [Jurgen] Klopp and stuck with him. They didn’t win in the beginning. People only remember his final few years when he was competing with City and winning the biggest trophies.
“To start a transition you have to make a plan and stick to it.
“This is where I speak about being realistic about what your situation is. We’ve had that many different managers, ideas and strategies in order to win that you end up in no man’s land.”
Ineos are fully behind Ruben Amorim at Man United
Rashford is right – United’s only chance of getting back to the top of English football is by giving the manager time.
Despite a disastrous first few months in charge, Ineos are in full support of Amorim and have backed him this summer by spending £200 million on new signings.
Amorim has the long-term support of fans, with his honesty and transparency appreciated by the supporters.
It’s important that expectations remain realistic, but there are real signs that Amorim is building something brilliant at United.

Amorim is expected to finish in the top six this season, but it is just as important that United show growth and progress in their performances on the pitch.
The Red Devils need an identity and clear philosophy, and that is where Amorim is succeeding.
