Turkish Giants Are‘Set To Launch Official Bid’Which Could Help Arsenal Land Eze Or Rodrygo

Galatasaray are expected to step up their attempts to sign Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard, according to reports.

Just Arsenal claim their sources have provided information that the Turkish club are “set to launch [an] official bid” for the Belgian international.

Trossard has less than a year left on his contract at the Emirates and there is no indication that an extension has been offered.

Earlier in the summer, it was claimed that Galatasaray’s fiercest rivals, Fenerbahce, were keen on landing the 30-year-old.

However, it appears as though the Turkish Super Lig champions are the ones who will make a concerted effort to sign him on a permanent deal

It is believed that the Gunners want around £20m for Trossard, who may be open to leaving the Emirates to get regular game time.

Just Arsenal also suggest that Galatasaray may not be the forward’s only suitors, with Brentford and Borussia Dortmund circling as well.

Sale could clear the way for Arsenal to make another signing

After bringing in the likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi, Cristhian Mosquera, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres, Mikel Arteta’s side don’t currently have enough funds for another new addition.

Both Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze and Real Madrid’s Rodrygo have been targeted but they could cost £68m and £78m respectively, so sales are required.

If Galatasaray do snap up Trossard, it would go some way towards financing a move for either player.

With Tottenham having opened talks about signing Eze, the Gunners may not have a lot of time to make their nove for the England international.

Rodrygo’s situation is slightly different. He doesn’t seem to have a future at Real but he is in no rush to leave. If he does end up departing the Bernabeu, though, he won’t be short of offers. Manchester City are said to have joined the race for his signature in recent days.
