‘Keep advancing!’ - Fabrizio Romano drops latest update on Man Utd star’s future after ‘doors’ finally open for elite European club

Rasmus Hojlund has now made his feelings perfectly clear to AC Milan amid Fabrizio Romano’s report on the Serie A club’s interest in the Manchester United striker.

The 22-year-old Manchester United striker had been part of the Red Devils’ pre-season summer tour and Rasmus Hojlund was keen to remain at Old Trafford.

Hojlund struggled in his second season at the Red Devils and the United striker only netted 10 times and picked up four assists in 52 matches in the 2024-25 campaign.

The Denmark international’s long-term future at the Premier League club was plunged into doubt last week after United signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

Hojlund has attracted fierce interest from AC Milan and the Danish forward has received further attention from clubs in Serie A, including Inter Milan and Roma.

AC Milan’s firm warning to Rasmus Hojlund amid the Serie A club’s pursuit of the Man Utd and Denmark striker

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are keen to sign Rasmus Hojlund on loan this summer with an option to buy him from Manchester United in 2026.

The Italian newspaper suggested that the Milan-linked striker is a ‘stubborn man’ and Hojlund is ‘convinced’ that he can still compete for his place in the team.

It has been added that Milan sporting director Igli Tare flew to England and tried to ‘secure’ Hojlund’s ‘approval’ to make the move to the San Siro this summer.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Igli Tare would wait a ‘week at most’ for Hojlund to respond to Milan’s interest and there would be ‘no more’ extensions.

The publication claims that if Hojlund did not meet Milan’s ultimatum, then the club would look at Dusan Vlahovic, Nicolas Jackson and Goncalo Ramos as alternatives.

Rasmus Hojlund has now made his feelings perfectly clear to AC Milan amid Fabrizio Romano’s report on the Serie A club’s interest in the Manchester United striker.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Hojlund would ‘prefer a permanent transfer’ to Milan if he had to move this summer instead of a loan with an option to buy.

While the Italian news outlet claims that Hojlund does not want to leave United due to ‘pure pride,’ Fabrizio Romano has now dropped a major update on the saga.
