Alexander Isak is doing everything in his power to leave Newcastle United and join Liverpool.
That is the 25-year-old’s intention, with Isak refusing to play for Newcastle as he attempts to force through a move.
It is well documented that Isak wants to join Liverpool, while it is clear that they want him too. Liverpool offered £110million for Isak, but their opening gambit was rejected by the Magpies.
With a second bid yet to be submitted, the forward appears to be doing all that he can to make a deal possible. Isak has been slammed for his actions, and onlookers will be wondering how Liverpool chiefs have reacted to the way that he is going about things.

Liverpool not expected to be ‘put off’ by what Alexander Isak is doing
Isak is not conducting himself well, but David Ornstein does not expect that to impact Liverpool’s interest in him.
Ornstein spoke about the Isak situation on the Sports Agents YouTube channel, admitting he has not heard anything about the Reds suddenly being put off the Swedish striker.
“I don’t know, nothing has been indicated to me that they have been put off by this in the slightest,” he said.
“I think what is more relevant is if we cast our mind back to previous sagas involving other players, it never seems to change the view of the club in pursuit of the player.

“They see this as a player who is committed to joining them and is showing their desire to fight his way out.”
Alexander Isak is endearing himself to Liverpool at the expense of his Newcastle United legacy
As Ornstein says, Isak’s actions are only proving to Liverpool that he really wants to join them.
While that is great for Liverpool, it is extremely disrespectful to Newcastle United – the club that he is contracted to and that pay his wages.
It is difficult to decipher how this situation will play out. There is a very real possibility that Isak stays at Newcastle, as it is going to be extremely challenging for Eddie Howe to bring in a replacement so late in the window.
That could force Isak to stay put, which may lead to a remarkable U-turn. While he is saying he will never play for the club again, that simply is not feasible. A player of Isak’s calibre, in a World Cup year, is not going to spend a year of his career sitting on the sidelines.
It feels a long way away, but Isak could play for Newcastle again. If that happens, he will be in for quite the reception from the Toon Army. They are hurt and let down by Isak’s actions, and will let him know exactly how they feel, whether he is wearing the black and white of Newcastle United or the red of Liverpool.
