Joao Pedro has opened up about why he made the big move to Chelsea, saying it was the realisation of a childhood dream in Brazil. The 23-year-old striker, who joined the Blues from Brighton for £60 million, signed an eight-year contract. Pedro’s choice to move from the south coast to west London had less to do with money and more to do with who he was, as he explained:
“It’s because of the club’s history. Growing up in Brazil, I saw so many people watch football and support Chelsea.”
