Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks set to become a Leeds United player in the coming days.
Calvert-Lewin had been mooted with a free transfer to Elland Road since his Everton contract expired earlier this summer.
Daniel Farke is desperate for attacking reinforcements, and his side have been linked with the likes of Rodrigo Muniz and Nikola Krstovic.
However, according to David Ornstein on 13 August, they have agreed a deal to sign the ex-Blues star to lead the line as they return to the Premier League.

Calvert-Lewin cannot command Everton wage at Leeds
Calvert-Lewin’s weekly wage at Everton was £100,000, according to estimates from Capology, but he surely cannot expect to command that figure at Leeds.

For starters, the Blues are an established top-flight club, pulling in the huge broadcast revenues that come with that every year.
Also, he has had numerous injury issues, and his goal contributions from the past few seasons hardly set the world on fire.
The former England international has notched just 17 goals across the last four seasons, with six assists, so he will not be on such figures with the Whites.

A realistic amount for Calvert-Lewin to earn in LS11 is around the £80,000-a-week mark, anything over that would be a huge overpay from Farke’s side.
Jack Harrison is supposedly the Whites’ highest earning player on a reported £90,000-a-week, followed by the likes of Daniel James and Pascal Struijk, who starred for the Peacocks on a weekly basis in the Championship, who are estimated to be on £70,000-a-week and £50,000-a-week.
Given Calvert-Lewin’s status as a top-flight player, he might be afforded a little bit extra, but he cannot expect the same salary that he was handed on Merseyside.

The most sensible option for Leeds
It could be a really clever move for Leeds if they can agree to a pay-as-you-play kind of deal with Calvert-Lewin.
The ex-Everton star is injury-prone; therefore, it would not be beneficial for the Thorp Arch outfit to get him in on a normal contract.
If they did, they would be stuck paying him when he could not feature, which would be a waste of resources, especially when they are going to be in a survival battle
Whatever agreement the sides have reached, clearly it is one that they are both happy with, as he seems set to start a new chapter of his career in Yorkshire.
