Alexander Isak’s future is still up in the air as his dream move to Liverpool edges closer.
The striker has long been linked with an Anfield switch, and now that he’s refused to ever play for Newcastle again, it feels likely that the move will be made.
However, even though Isak is doing everything in his power to become a Liverpool player, unless a fair price tag can be agreed upon, a move won’t be sanctioned.

The Reds have already had a £110million bid rejected, and with Eddie Howe wanting around £150million for his talisman, it feels like a fee between those two numbers needs to be agreed upon before it’s too late.
Sam Allardyce believes Newcastle should cut their losses and sell Alexander Isak
It’s clear to see why Newcastle don’t want to sell Isak this summer.
The striker is coming off the back of one of his best-ever seasons, and with a Champions League campaign just around the corner, Howe needs a star striker to lead his attacking line.
Indeed, the Magpies have tried to source replacements for the attacker, but each target they’ve made a bid for has chosen to move elsewhere.
And now, while speaking live on talkSPORT, former Premier League manager Sam Allardyce has given his thoughts on what Newcastle should do with their star man.

“I’d sell him, I’d go for the best price and then I’d sell him,” he said.
“I think that once a player makes his mind up as determined as he is and because there’s nothing else you can do, rule-wise, I suppose if he stays away, the only thing you do is you don’t pay him.
“I think that then obviously becomes a situation where nobody wins [that is] unless the board are strong enough to say ‘let it rot and we’ll go buy you another centre forward’ which is the best way to deal with it in my opinion.
“Somebody has to stand up to a player that are going to start doing this on a regular basis.”
Liverpool and Newcastle need to come to an agreement for Alexander Isak soon
There’s no hiding from the fact that the addition of Isak to Liverpool’s ranks would make them close to unstoppable.
The striker was one of the best in the world last season, and although the Reds already have Hugo Ekitike among their ranks, Isak is on another level.
The Sweden international already has plenty of Premier League experience, and everyone knows that with players such as Mohamed Salah and Florian Wirtz around him, he’d thrive.

At the moment, however, it’s anyone’s guess when or if Liverpool will make their next bid for the striker.
But the sooner a deal is struck, the sooner Isak can get integrated into the squad and start the Reds’ campaign to win the Premier League and Champions League this term.
