Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz could potentially follow Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Leeds United this transfer window.

With Mateo Joseph joining Mallorca on loan and Patrick Bamford out of Daniel Farke’s plans at Elland Road, multiple additions are arguably needed up front.

Muniz has been a target for Leeds in recent weeks, and the Cottagers may be open to the Brazilian forward’s sale, with his contract expiring next summer.

It looks like Farke will have Calvert-Lewin at his disposal for the upcoming campaign, with the former Evertonian set for a medical at Thorp Arch, but more business should be expected in LS11.

Fulham offered £34.5million by Leeds United for Muniz transfer

Muniz must be an exceptional player if Leeds and Atalanta are willing to splash the cash on him, Tancredi Palmeri says.

The Sportitalia journalist thinks the belief in the 24-year-old centre-forward’s abilities is highlighted by the fact that the Elland Road hierarchy have offered a “whopping” £34.5million for his services.

With the Brazil national’s current deal at Craven Cottage in its final months, the West Yorkshire outfit and Italian club must really have high hopes for him.

Palmeri wrote on X on 13 August: “Honestly, I don’t know Muniz except from highlights, which, for how I understand football, means I don’t really know him.

“But the relationships must be exceptional if, for a 24-year-old whose contract is expiring… both Leeds and Atalanta have offered a whopping £34.5m.”

Joel Piroe, Calvert-Lewin or Muniz: Who will start for Leeds?

Joel Piroe is someone Leeds can build their team around after he won the Golden Boot in the Championship last season.

The 25-year-old has never played in the Premier League, though, and it remains to be seen if he can handle the rigours of the English top flight.

Calvert-Lewin and Muniz have shown their abilities at Everton and Fulham, respectively, and that experience may come in handy.

Leeds may not be able to rely on the English centre-forward due to his consistent fitness issues in recent seasons.

Fulham signed Muniz for around £6.9m from Flamengo in 2021.

The 24-year-old was a key player for Marco Silva’s team last season.

In the 2024/25 campaign, the Cottagers finished 10th in the Premier League.

It isn’t surprising that the Whites are also targeting Muniz, and he should be the starting number nine if the West Yorkshire outfit can get a deal over the line.

With the 24-year-old scoring eight goals in the Premier League last season, he could potentially contribute massively to the Whites’ hopes of avoiding relegation.

Only time will tell who Farke will have at his disposal before the end of August.
