Liverpool have released their new documentary charting the champions season of 2024/25, including an interview with the late Diogo Jota on his final goal.
‘Champions 24-25: The Inside Story’ was released on Tuesday and can be watched on All Red Video here.
It charts the remarkable debut campaign for Arne Slot as he led Liverpool to the Premier League title with a dominance few expected upon his appointment.
The documentary includes interviews with the majority of Slot’s first-team squad, one of which is Jota, who sadly passed away on July 3.
His final goal was the winner against Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield, cutting through challenges and firing beyond Jordan Pickford to clinch a 1-0 victory that led many to believe it was Liverpool’s title.

“It was a very tough season for me. But I was always there fighting and I think I could help the team that day. I’m proud of what I could still do,” Jota reflected.
“It’s hard to describe. I think that’s the feeling I look for when I play football.
“That’s why you put all your life and all your efforts into moments like that. Moments where you can decide the game, an important game.
“As a striker, the best way is to score a goal. It’s what makes you keep going and searching for moments like that.
“You just feel amazing. I could help the team that day and we just built on the momentum from there.
“In the end, you could say that was a decisive game.”

Jota passed away in tragic circumstances just two weeks after his marriage to childhood partner Rute, having ended the final season of his life by lifting the Premier League with Liverpool and the UEFA Nations League with Portugal.
“It is a remarkable achievement for a small guy that came from Gondomar, where I had this dream,” he said of the title triumph.
“Finally we did it, it’s a moment that I will cherish forever, because it’s a remarkable achievement.”
The interviews in ‘Champions 24-25: The Inside Story’ were filmed before Jota’s death, with one of his closest friends in the squad, Andy Robertson, looking back on that goal against Everton.

“When Jots cut inside, you could feel it was going to go off,” the left-back, who attended the striker’s wedding in Porto, explained.
“I think that was the moment when everyone believed it’s a matter of when, not if.”
