Patrick Bamford looks set to leave Leeds United this summer.

Bamford has been informed that he is not in Daniel Farke’s plans for the upcoming season, and the Whites are keen to offload him.

Meanwhile, they have agreed to sign Calvert-Lewin after he was released from Everton at the end of his contract.

Farke has made it clear that the Elland Road side needs more attacking options, and it seems like the ownership has listened to him.

Jordan savages Bamford as Leeds agree Calvert-Lewin deal

The Whites have agreed a deal to sign Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer, with the former Everton hitman set to undergo a medical at Thorp Arch.

Jim White, Danny Murphy and Simon Jordan were discussing the agreement live on talkSPORT (13 August, 11:10 am), and the segment seemed like it had come to a conclusion.

However, the ex-Crystal Palace owner piped in, saying: “One crock replacing another crock, streaky striker, Patrick Bamford.

“That was often injured far more often than not, and was streaky with his performances; now you have got another one doing the same thing.

“He [Calvert-Lewin] can bring his handbag with him.”

Leeds will not care what Jordan has to say

Jordan has developed a reputation for just saying controversial things for attention, so Peacocks’ supporters will not care what he has to say.

Bamford has been one of Leeds’ longest-serving players in the modern era and has always worked his socks off when he puts on the shirt.

He did have a dismal campaign last season, making just 17 Championship appearances and failing to score, but his dedication to the LS11 outfit cannot be questioned.

Meanwhile, Calvert-Lewin is an exciting signing, albeit his injury record is a concern, but he is an experienced Premier League star who has shown the ability to score in the division.

If Farke can get the best out of him and keep him fit, it will be an inspired addition and could be the difference between staying in the top-flight and being relegated.

If Jordan does not like his fashion choices, then that is fair enough, but there is no need to be throwing childish insults around like the one that he did.

The criticism of Bamford also seems very harsh. He struggled last season, but he has been a reliable goalscorer for the Whites over his stint in Yorkshire.

After promotion, especially now, you have to take risks, and that is what this is.
