Gianluigi Donnarumma may take legal action against Paris Saint-Germain after the Italy keeper was dropped and looks set to leave with Man City waiting in the wings, his agent Enzo Raiola told Sky Sport Wednesday.
PSG's decision to sideline the Azzurri skipper, forcing him to find another position, could have legal repercussions, he said. This wouldn't be the first time for the French club, following, for example, the long dispute with France superstar Kylian Mbappé, who has since moved to Real Madrid.
Raiola threatened legal action.
"PSG had made some demands, and in the end, we accepted an offer lower than his current salary, pending further discussion after the Club World Cup, but there was a desire to continue," the agent told Sky Sport.
"We weren't expecting what happened; it's a lack of respect, which I will discuss with my lawyers. We want to better understand their position." Raiola also criticized the financial demands of the Paris club, which still have Donnarumma under contract until 2026: "They're exaggerated; perhaps only the Premier League can meet them," he said.
According to L'Equipe, Manchester City are keeping a keen eye on the situation and are ready to pounce once Donnarumma becomes officially free.
