Posch says no to Bundesliga return

According to reports from Sky Sport DE pundit Florian Plettenberg, Hamburg had been ‘pushing hard’ to land Posch’s signature in recent weeks, but the Austria international has decided to explore alternative options elsewhere.

It is understood that the 28-year-old full-back has interest from clubs in Italy and in the Premier League.

Posch has been with Bologna for three seasons, having joined on an initial loan from TSG Hoffenheim in the summer of 2022, and was a regular starter in both of his first two seasons at the Dall’Ara.

Despite making a further 14 Serie A appearances for the Rossoblu in the first half of the 2024-25 campaign, he was allowed to leave in order to join Atalanta on loan for the second half of the campaign.
