Jeff Teague Reveals How A Fan Who Disrespected Him Online Got Scared When They Met Face-To-Face

Former NBA player Jeff Teague has become a popular podcaster now, but he didn't always get a lot of love during his playing career. On the latest episode of the Club 520 Podcast, Teague recounted crossing paths with a fan who had disrespected him online when he was with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

"Playing in the NBA, you see fans, they'll be calling you b***h, all this s***," Teague said. "... And I remember I was in Minnesota, there was a dude. I think this was when I had Twitter, and I was just posting like WWE s*** randomly."

Fans would call out Teague for not playing well and always posting about wrestling online. One such individual just so happened to be the delivery driver when he had placed an order on Postmates.

"He was the Postmates driver," Teague stated. "I come down to meet him, I was like, 'Hey, is this you?' Read the tweet. He was like, 'You respond!' I'm like, 'No n***a, I'm in person.' ... I'm going, you know me, 'What you say b***h?' I'ma start doing all that. He like, 'No, no, no. You just don't care. You're mean to the fans. You don't say hi to nobody or nothing.'

"He started doing all that s***," Teague added. "And I just started looking at him, he really scared. I can't do nothing to you fam."

Teague averaged 13.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game for the Timberwolves, and frustrated fans with his play. That didn't justify the abuse, though, and it wasn't the least bit surprising that this individual was frightened when he realized that the guard recognized him.

Teague, of course, wasn't going to do anything to that person. He was the one who had a lot to lose in that situation and managed to keep his cool.

This story also serves as further proof that Kevin Durant was on point when he ripped a fan who disrespected him online. Durant stated that the fan wouldn't have the courage to say it to his face, which is what happened here.

While Teague kept his cool in this instance, he almost lost his temper a couple of weeks ago because of a fan who actually had the courage to confront him in person. As for the reason for the confrontation, the 37-year-old had previously claimed on this podcast that LeBron James took steroids when he was with the Miami Heat.

Teague later stated that he was joking, but the damage was done. The one-time All-Star revealed that a fan called him a "b***h," a "hoe," and a "snitch" at a gas station. Teague stated that it was almost the individual's last day on earth, but upon realizing this was about those comments, he calmed down.

That incident ended up teaching Teague a valuable lesson. He declared he is going to be nice to fans moving forward.

"Now I just dap everybody up after the LeBron s***," Teague said. "When the dude did that to me about LeBron, I was like, yeah, I gotta just start being more nice 'cause I almost did something I was gonna regret."

Teague understandably doesn't want to get involved in some serious trouble. Everything appears to be going great for him now with this successful podcast, and he wouldn't want to mess things up by having a nasty encounter with a fan.
