Nice are advancing on a move for Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard as they seek offensive reinforcements this summer.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that the French side are exploring the English market in their search for a striker and that’s led them to Crystal Palace.
According to their information, Nice have made progress in recent days with Crystal Palace regarding a deal for Edouard.
The Frenchman is expected to leave Selhurst Park before the end of the window but has already turned down a move to Girona. He wants to join Nice and is seemingly holding out for that move to happen.
He has the advantage of having played in France before now, having come through PSG’s youth system and played in their first team as well as spending time on loan at Toulouse before joining Celtic on loan in 2017.
It seems he now fancies a return and Nice are working to make that happen, having progressed in talks with Crystal Palace over the last few days.
It’s not yet clear whether they’re discussing a permanent deal or a loan. Indeed, Foot Mercato’s information is thin, so we’ll wait before we get too excited.
