The Dallas Cowboys are again the most valuable franchise in the NFL, but Jerry Jones makes the team feel quite worthless. The Cowboys have so much going for them when you think about it; they've got star players, a top-tier stadium, and are the most valuable franchise in the NFL.
When you think about it, the Cowboys should be a dominant team. They're quite good in the NFL Draft and have hit on countless players over the years, but Jerry Jones unfortunately has his hands all over this operation, and it's beginning to get quite bad.
Sportico has their annual valuations of all 32 NFL franchises, and to the surprise of no one, Dallas is on top.
Jerry Jones has made the Dallas Cowboys rich and worthless at the same time
According to Sportico, Dallas is over two billion dollars more valuable than the second-place team, the Los Angeles Rams, but at the end of the day, doesn't it it feel like the Dallas Cowboys are pretty worthless?
Here are the five most valuable football franchises, per Sportico’s annual NFL valuations that are being released today:
🏈Cowboys - $12.8 billion
🏈Rams - $10.43 billion
🏈Giants - $10.25 billion
🏈Patriots - $8.76 billion
🏈49ers - $8.6 billion pic.twitter.com/cJVvoeKGEN

From the unnecessary attention, the overpaying for players because of delayed negotiations, and overall dysfunctional operation, the Cowboys feel like a worthless NFL team and bottom-feeders. Jerry Jones seems more concerned with making verbal headlines and flocking to the cameras whenever he can.
His dedication to putting a top football team on the field doesn't seem to be there - the roster is top-heavy, flawed, and just not in a super competitive spot for the 2025 NFL Season. Cowboys' fans are probably holding their breath at this point every single time he meets the media.
Jones purchased the Cowboys back in 1989 for $140 million, which would have been worth just $364 million in today's dollars, so no one would ever dispute the smart business move, but there comes a time when the valuation doesn't matter, and that time is now.
While Dallas is the most valuable franchise in the NFL yet again, it all rings hollow thanks to who is overseeing the day-to-day operations.
