Rasmus Hojlund reportedly 'opens the door' to leaving Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
Since the end of last season, there has been speculation regarding the future of the Denmark international, who has failed to justify his £72m price-tag since arriving from Atalanta BC.
At a time when United have been frequently linked with the addition of a new number nine, Hojlund has insisted that he would prefer to fight for his place at Old Trafford.
However, as well as Benjamin Sesko arriving from RB Leipzig, it has become apparent that the 22-year-old has fallen considerably down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim.
Despite scoring in an earlier pre-season friendly against Bournemouth, Hojlund remained as an unused substitute against Fiorentina on August 9.

Hojlund closer to Serie A return
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the former Atalanta BC frontman is now increasingly open to a return to Serie A with AC Milan.
Hojlund is allegedly discussing terms with the Italian giants who would initially sign him on loan for a fee in the region of €6m (£5.17m).
With a €45m (£38.81m) option for a permanent move also said to have been agreed between the clubs, the decision is effectively left with Hojlund.
As it stands, Milan are said to be progressing in their effort to wrap up a deal over the coming days.

The fresh start that Hojlund needs
Although Hojlund has contributed 26 goals and six assists from his 95 appearances in a United shirt, his return in the Premier League means that a transfer could be necessary to kick-start his career.
Just 14 goals have come from 62 outings in England's top flight, in comparison to the nine strikes from 32 outings that he netted for Atalanta in Serie A at a younger age.
While it remains to be seen whether his burst onto the scene in Italy was only short-term, a club rebuilding such as Milan seems like the ideal move for Hojlund at this point.
