Report: Super-agent spotted at Chelsea friendly as he works on potential transfer

Chelsea had a very important figure present at Stamford Bridge last Friday for their pre-season friendly against Bayer Leverkusen.

He would have enjoyed the game, with Chelsea putting in a really exciting performance.

New signing Estevao Willian stole the show, scoring the Blues’ opener while combining well with Cole Palmer.

Estevao and Palmer could now be joined by two more attackers, as Chelsea continue to chase RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho. Right now, one journalist thinks Chelsea are more likely to sign Garnacho than Simons.

Ali Barat spotted at Stamford Bridge with agent working on Xavi Simons transfer

It is still not impossible that Chelsea end up with both Garnacho and Simons before the transfer window closes.

According to The Sun, super-agent Ali Barat is still working on Simons’ potential transfer to Chelsea and was at Stamford Bridge for their win against Leverkusen.

If Barat had the opportunity to talk to the directors at Chelsea, much would have been on the agenda, not just Simons.

Barat represents Nicolas Jackson, who could also be on the move this summer. Jackson has not been training with Enzo Maresca’s group as he heads closer and closer to the exit door.

The Senegal international has lost his place in the side and fallen down the pecking order following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. An exit now looks inevitable.

Xavi Simons’ preference out of Chelsea and Manchester City

Chelsea need to agree a fee with Leipzig to sign Simons as soon as possible; otherwise, they risk losing out on him to Premier League rivals Manchester City.

While City are said to be interested in the attacking midfielder, the Club World Cup winners still seem to be in the driving seat for his signature for now.

It has been claimed that Chelsea remain Simons’ priority this summer. But if the Dutchman gets tired of waiting, it would not be a surprise if he gave City the green-light.
