Everton have reportedly pulled out of any deal to sign Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu this summer.
The Foxes flier is potentially one of manager Martí Cifuentes' key men as the new Championship season gets underway, but also one of the club's key assets.
And it seemed Leicester might come under pressure to sell Fatawu amid transfer speculation linking the 21-year-old with the Premier League Toffees, but that may no longer be the case.
According to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett, Everton have been put off by Leicester's valuation of the player, who is fit and flying again after a knee ligament injury wrecked last season for him.
With the clubs way apart in terms of player valuation, Sky claim Everton have now shifted their focus to other targets, including Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling.
Fatawu has looked sharp under new boss Cifuentes, scoring a great solo goal in the 2-0 pre-season win over Fiorentina earlier this month.
A full Ghana international, he was instrumental in Leicester's promotion-winning campaign two years ago, scoring six goals and adding 13 assists during his maiden season with the club.

But while Fatawu's future might be more secure, the same cannot be said of midfielder Bilal El Khannouss, a reported target for Newcastle United.
Dorsett posted on X: "Everton currently unwilling to meet Leicester City's demands for Abdul Fatawu. The two clubs very divided on valuation and Everton now considering other options.
"Leicester are more likely to sell El Khannouss as things stand, with interest in him from many clubs, including RB Leipzig, Leeds United and Crystal Palace. All monitoring."
After arriving from Genk for around £19.5m last summer, the 21-year-old went on to be the best player in a struggling Foxes team in the top-flight.
The Telegraph claim that the Magpies are considering activating El Khannouss's release clause, understood to be in excess of £30m - although they only have until the end of the week to do so when it expires.
El Khannouss was the star of Leicester's opening-day comeback 2-1 win over struggling Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
