Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent has started to flirt with a move to the Premier League, amid reports about Manchester City and Manchester United, as he gets set to leave Paris Saint-Germain.
[Gazzetta dello Sport](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Nazionale/13-08-2025/raiola-su-donnarumma-c-e-la-premier-psg-scorretto.shtml?refresh_ce) cover comments from the Enzo Raiola today, made to Sport Mediaset, in which he insisted that a move to the Premier League is a distinct possibility.
Donnarumma is being pushed out of PSG after they completed a move for Lucas Chevalier. He’s been designated as the new number one, with Donnarumma left out of the squad taking on Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup this evening.
The Italian goalkeeper has confirmed his exit in a public statement, insisting that he’s being forced out of PSG after a decision was made above him.
He’s been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with both Manchester City and Manchester United credited with an interest on more than one occasion.
The former needs to replace Ederson, but have already signed James Trafford, while the latter have seemingly wanted to replace Andre Onana for some time amid his continued ropey performances.
Raiola won’t get involved in naming Manchester City or Manchester United yet but insists that a move to England is a possibility.
_“Some Premier League clubs are making moves, and it’s the league Gigio aspires to, even from a professional standpoint,”_ he said.
_“After being in Italy and at PSG, the Premier League could give you that next step up because you’d be playing in the best league in the world._
_“The Premier League step is being considered because we believe it could be the right fit for an important player like Gigio. Also, because history says the only Italian to have won the Premier League is Mario Balotelli. If he could become the second Italian to do so, it would be a wonderful thing for us. History says it’s very difficult for Italians to win it.”_
There’s been claim of an agreement being in place with Manchester City, but Enzo Raiola dimissed that: _“The rumours of Guardiola’s interest have arrived. The truth is that we never spoke to Guardiola because until recently we were thinking of staying in Paris, even this year. After the announcement of the non-renewal, I said: ‘Let’s stay another year and then leave.’ That was also Gigio’s wish.”_
