The focus of this summer has mainly been on players leaving Wolves, but one exit-linked star looks like he could now stay put.
Wanderers have lost many players so far this summer and at the moment, fans are concerned about the coming season.
Just three new faces have arrived so far in the form of Fer Lopez, Jhon Arias and David Moller Wolfe, and the hope is that all three can hit the ground running immediately.
Vitor Pereira is targeting a mid-table finish with Wolves, but for that to be achievable then Fosun must deliver in a big way in the next three weeks.
But players are still being linked with moves away from Molineux.
And one player there’s been speculation about is Hwang Hee-chan.

Hwang Hee-chan had a poor season in 2024/25.
After being one of the standout stars for Wolves in Gary O’Neil’s first season, the South Korean really struggled last term, thanks to a loss of form and injuries stopping him from building any kind of momentum.

Earlier in the summer, Hwang was linked with Birmingham.
It was then suggested Hwang would be sold by Wolves if the price was right.
Now according to Han June, Hwang is set to stay at the club. He said: “Exclusive: Hwang Hee-chan is set to STAY at Wolves this season!

Hwang must step up for Wolves after 2024/25 struggles
So it seems that while Wolves were open to selling Hwang, the player himself wants to stick around.
And he must prove his worth in the coming campaign.

Appearances – 25
Minutes played – 868
Goals – 2
Assists – 1
With the likes of Matheus Cunha and Pablo Sarabia having left, the onus is on him – as an experienced player and one of the highest earners at Molineux – to deliver.
He needs to prove to Pereira he is worthy of starting games regularly.
We know he can be capable of brilliant purple patches, and hopefully we will be seeing more of those in 2025/26.
