Arsenal will sport a new commemorative sleeve badge during their 2025/26 Carabao Cup campaign, celebrating the club’s two League Cup triumphs as part of a special initiative by the English Football League (EFL).

The EFL has introduced bespoke badges for all clubs with past League Cup victories to mark the competition’s 65th anniversary. Each badge will display the number of times a club has lifted the trophy, with the design set against Carabao’s trademark green backdrop.

For Arsenal, the badge will carry the number “2” in recognition of their victories in the 1986/87 and 1992/93 seasons. The design will be worn on matchday shirts throughout their Carabao Cup fixtures, beginning with their third-round tie later this season.

Last season’s winners Newcastle United will wear a gold badge featuring the number “1” to commemorate their maiden League Cup success in 2024/25, their first domestic trophy in 70 years. In total, 11 Premier League clubs and 13 EFL clubs will don the new designs, including Swindon Town, whose “1” badge will honor their famous 1969 upset over Arsenal in the final.

The initiative aims to celebrate the competition’s history while giving fans a visual reminder of their club’s past achievements.

The 2025/26 Carabao Cup is already underway with early-round fixtures, scheduled earlier than usual due to nine Premier League sides competing in Europe. Arsenal, competing on four fronts this season, Premier League, EFL Cup, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League have also unveiled their new home, away, and third kits.

While the men’s team ended last season without silverware, finishing second in the Premier League and reaching the semi-finals in domestic and European cups, Arsenal Women will proudly wear a UEFA Women’s Champions League winners’ badge following their 2024/25 triumph.
