Man City have now named their price for Savinho after rejecting Tottenham's £42m offer -…

The future of Savinho at Manchester City is still to be determined.

The Brazilian has been a key part of Pep Guardiola’s plans over the summer, having started in three of the four games City played at the FIFA Club World Cup, while the winger was part of the strongest team that featured against Palermo at the weekend.

However, Tottenham’s interest in Savinho has kicked Man City’s transfer window back into life, as it remains to be seen how hard the North London club pushes for the 21-year-old.

Spurs saw their first offer of £42m turned down by the Manchester club, but City have now informed their Premier League rivals what it would take to get a deal done for the youngster.

Man City want £76m to sell Savinho this summer

Tottenham are also working on a deal for Eberechi Eze separately from their interest in Savinho, just in case they cannot get a deal done for the Man City star.

It is uncertain how high the North London club are willing to go for the Brazilian, but Spurs have now been informed that it will take £67m to secure the signature of the 21-year-old.

This is according to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, who has revealed on his YouTube channel that Savinho’s agent, Frederico Moraes, has confirmed the asking price to him and also disclosed that the first offer Man City rejected was indeed worth £42m (€50m).

Tottenham know what they have to do now, and if they match this asking price, they are very likely to sign the Man City star as Savinho is said to be willing to move to North London.

Man City do not want to let Savinho go this summer, but if a deal is to be done, they will want it completed quickly, so Guardiola can get in a replacement.

Savinho could develop into a top talent at Man City

Nedum Onuoha does not want to see Savinho leave Man City, as he believes that the winger could develop into a top talent at the Etihad Stadium, and the pundit is right.

The Brazilian has put up decent numbers over the last two seasons as the 21-year-old was a star for Girona before moving to Manchester last summer, where he produced three goals and 13 assists in a struggling team.

Savinho scored 11 goals in La Liga the campaign before, and there is no doubt that the wide player can do even better than that at City, especially with a year in the Premier League under his belt.

Guardiola seems to consider the Brazil international as a starter heading into the new campaign, but Man City now need to resist the temptation of selling the 21-year-old.
