Liverpool are open to selling Kostas Tsimikas this summer and Nottingham Forest are among the interested parties, according to The Athletic.
The Reds have had a busy summer of incoming transfers with Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike signing for the first-team so far, while Giorgi Mamardashvili has arrived after signing last summer and young goalkeeper Arthur Pecsi also joining.
Arne Slot is also close to adding young Parma star Giovanni Leoni to his squad to bolster the centre of defence, and now the club are looking towards departures to trim down their squad before the transfer deadline on September 1st.
Liverpool Keen to Sell Tsimikas
Kostas Tsimikas
After the arrival of Kerkez to compete with Andy Robertson, manager Slot made the decision to part with Tsimikas this summer and even left him out of the squad entirely for the Community Shield last Sunday, where the Reds suffered defeat to Crystal Palace on penalties.
The Greece international, who currently earns £80,000-a-week at Anfield, is now expected to leave before the deadline and Nuno Espirito Santo's side are said to be among the clubs showing an interest in a deal.
Tsimikas made 29 appearances for Liverpool during the 2024/25 season but was regularly behind Robertson in the pecking order since joining the club in an £11.75m deal from Greek giants Olympiakos. Now he has dropped further down the pecking order.
GIVEMESPORT sources previously revealed that the player was open to leaving Anfield this summer in search of more regular first-team football, with interest from clubs in England and Spain. Leeds United have previously been linked, but GIVEMESPORT correspondent Ben Jacobs recently revealed that they are not pursuing a deal for the 29-year-old.
Forest are looking to strengthen their squad after their place in the 2025/26 Europa League was confirmed this week, and left-back is an area they want to bolster.
Nico Williams and Ola Aina have both been regulars in defence and can play on either side of the defence, but the club have lost Alex Moreno who returned to Aston Villa following his loan spell in the second half of 2024/25. Harry Toffolo has also left the club at the end of his contract, leaving Espirito Santo short on options.
