The first round is nearly done and dusted - and now teams are preparing to come into the fray. That includes six-time winners , who enter at the second-round stage for the first time in 11 years.

That's because the Red Devils aren't one of the nine top-flight teams who've qualified for Europe this season. The last time that United played in the second round was in 2014, as pulled off a against side.

When will the second round be played?

Matches in the second round of the Carabao Cup will be played the week commencing Monday, August 25.

Ties are expected to be played on Tuesday, August 26 and Wednesday, August 27.

The draw for the second round of the Carabao Cup will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports News.

UK viewers can also watch the draw on ITV4 while a live stream will be available for free on ITVX.

What time does the draw start?

The draw for the second round of the Carabao Cup will take place before Birmingham City's tie with Sheffield United at St Andrew's (kick-off 8pm).

The expected start time is 7:20pm.
