When Manchester City signed Savinho in the summer of 2024, it seemed like Pep Guardiola and Co intended for him to be a part of their future plans for years to come.
However, this summer, Tottenham Hotspur have caught Savinho’s eye as his next destination and if the Brazilian makes his way to North London, his exit would be reminiscent of when Ferran Torres left the Etihad Stadium after one and a half seasons to join Barcelona.
With the 21-year-old contracted to City until 2029, City will demand a king’s ransom for him.
Manchester City’s asking price for Savinho is £76m this summer.

Tottenham shortlist Nico Paz as Savinho plan B
With Savinho being one of Europe’s most gifted wingers, a Brazilian international and having shown his class in La Liga and the Premier League, he is a valuable asset to Pep Guardiola’s men.
Tottenham are working on signing Savinho alongside Eberechi Eze after sealing the arrival of Mohammad Kudus earlier this summer.

However, journalist Eduardo Burgos has revealed that in case Tottenham miss out on Manchester City technician Savinho’s signature, their “option B” is Nico Paz.
El Tottenham sigue negociando con el Manchester City por Savinho.
Esperan llegar a un acuerdo por alrededor de 70M€. De momento las partes siguen alejadas tras rechazar la primera oferta de 50M€.

Considering Paz is a Como player but Real Madrid have a sell-on clause for their former youngster, getting a deal over the line is considered “difficult.”
Thomas Frank has sent an important message to Tottenham about Savinho
Only time will tell which out of the two players Spurs end up signing.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that Como signed the Argentine for just €6 million (£5 million) this summer, as Real Madrid ensured a buy back clause was inserted into the deal.

Thomas Frank told Tottenham he loves Savinho and considers him as the “ideal player” to bolster their side but from Manchester City’s perspective, it will be fascinating to see whether they are ready to sell him or force them to try and secure Paz’s services.
Considering City target Rodrygo could cost £104 million, it would be wise if they strike up an agreement to make him their marquee summer signing before letting his countryman leave.
