Sheffield Wednesday enter race to loan ‘incredible’ son of Premier League icon from Manchester City

The 19-year-old is the son of Premier League icon Emile Heskey, who is part of the exclusive 100 club from the division.

Jaden Heskey is one of two sons that Emile has within the Manchester City youth setup, with both being viewed as promising players for the future.

They have both impressed at the underage level with City, and now the club want to continue their development with a loan move to gain first-team experience.

Sheffield Wednesday are looking to take full advantage of this by offering this opportunity to Jaden Heskey, a player who has even spent time with the senior side under Pep Guardiola.

Jaden Heskey has been prolific at underage level for Manchester City while playing under now Cardiff City manager Brian Barry Murphy.

According to Transfermarkt, Heskey has scored 20 goals and provided 10 assists for Manchester City at underage level in his 86 appearances.

Speaking after an underage Champions League match against Young Boys, Barry-Murphy had nothing but praise for Heskey with the club media.

He said: “I wouldn’t say I have favourites, but I’ve said previously you don’t always get the players you want to score, to score,” he explained.

“Those players have been incredible for us in this competition and in the EFL Trophy, and they go under the radar in terms of how good they are.

“To see them get that reward for their performances over the last however long is very satisfying and very big for the dressing room because it gives good substance to how hard we’re going to see our players work again.”
