The winner of [Wanderers](http://theboltonnews.co.uk/wanderers)’ Carabao Cup opener against Sheffield Wednesday will host Leeds United in the second round.

Leeds enter the competition in the second round following their promotion to the Premier League last season.

If Bolton can get through, it would be their first meeting against the Elland Road club since 2019 in the Championship.

The Whites reached the third round last term, overcoming Mansfield and Shrewsbury Town to earn a mouth-watering tie at Arsenal.
