Manchester United have been drawn in the Carabao Cup second round.
The Carabao Cup second round draw has taken place, with Manchester United landing an away draw against League Two side Grimsby Town.
United enter the competition in round two this season due to an absence of European football at Old Trafford. The Red Devils endured a disastrous 2024/25 campaign and finished 15th in the Premier League.
This means the nine Premier League clubs competing in Europe this season will join the competition in round three.
United, who last won the Carabao Cup in 2023 under Erik ten Hag, were in the northern section of the draw, which is regionalised in the opening two rounds.
The round two ties will take place the week commencing August 25.
Ruben Amorim will be hoping to go all the way this season, but will have to win one more game than usual if United are to do so.

Man Utd draw Grimsby Away in Carabao Cup round two
The draw was made during Sky Sports’ build-up to Birmingham City vs Sheffield United.
United are aiming to get back to the heights they experienced in the competition in 2023, but Amorim has bigger fish to fry this season, especially in the Premier League.
The Red Devils start their Carabao Cup campaign with a trip to League Two side Grimsby Town.
The last time United faced Grimsby Town was in March 1948, when the First Division tie ended 1-1. Jack Rowley scored the only goal for United with an 80-minute equaliser.
Amorim will be happy to avoid an all-Premier League tie in the Carabao Cup.
