The full Boston Celtics regular season schedule will be released later this week, but the five key dates on the team’s regular season schedule were unveiled Wednesday, including all four NBA Cup matchups.
The Celtics will play in Group B in the Eastern Conference with four matchups (two home, two away) coming as part of their regular season schedule. Boston will also be in the first NBA matchup televised on Amazon Prime on Oct. 24 when they face off against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden during opening week.
Here’s a look at the full schedule for the in-season tournament that will occur on dates in October and November during the regular season.
**Celtics at 76ers, 7 p.m. on Oct. 31 (Amazon Prime)**
**Celtics at Magic, 7 p.m. on Nov 7**
**Nets at Celtics, 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 21**
**Pistons at Celtics 5 p.m. on Nov. 26 (ESPN)**
Each team in NBA Cup play will play every other team in their group during the group stage. From there, the winners of each group and a wildcard team will advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament in December. Boston did not advance out of pool play last season after going 3-1 in group play due to a tiebreaker.
The semifinals and championship game for the NBA Cup will be held in Las Vegas for the third straight season. Boston is expected to be underdogs to advance out of their group with a pair of emerging teams (Orlando, Detroit) looming as tough foes along with a 76ers squad that’s expected to make the postseason.
