Sekou Kone was carried off on a stretcher

Manchester United youngster Sekou Kone was stretchered off with a head injury against Tamworth and the game was abandoned on Wednesday night.

Kone, playing for 's U-21s side in a National fixture, went to the ground near the end of the first half after a collision with a Tamworth player.

The midfielder while he received medical treatment. Kone then left the pitch on a stretcher and held a mask to his face while he departed.

Kone received treatment in an ambulance and the fixture was subsequently abandoned.

A replacement ambulance was required and the delay forced the fixture to be called off.
