Takefusa Kubo has reportedly told La Liga club Real Sociedad that he wants to depart from the Reale Arena in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United are interested in Takefusa Kubo. The Japanese international has told the Basque outfit that he wants to depart from the Reale Arena in the summer transfer window. The former Real Madrid winger has a release clause worth €60 million in his contract with La Real.
Takefusa Kubo and his La Liga journey
Takefusa Kubo has made come leaps and bounds since joining Real Sociedad from Real Madrid in July 2022. While the 24-year-old winger has not been as productive as he would have liked, he has established himself as a pivotal figure for the Basque outfit in the last three years.
The Japanese international has turned out nearly 150 times thus far for Real Sociedad while chipping in with 23 goals and 18 assists. Meanwhile, Kubo’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
From La Liga to the Premier League soon?
Everton’s scouting trips for a wide attacker have not ended despite signing Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City. The Toffees want another winger before the summer transfer window shuts down, and recent reports have linked them with Tyrique George. However, Kubo is also a viable target for the Merseyside outfit.
