NBA Owners Approve Chisholm, Mittal’s $6 Billion Celtics Deal

NBA owners signed off on Bill Chisholm’s $6.1 billion purchase of the Boston Celtics from the Boston Basketball Partners, according to the league.

When the deal was first agreed to in March, it wasn’t fully financed. Aditya Mittal, the chief executive officer of steelmaker ArcelorMittal SA and son to billionaire Lakshmi Mittal, and private equity firm Sixth Street Partners both contributed $1 billion to help complete it.
