Pop music icon Taylor Swift joined the New Heights Podcast with Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce, the latter of which is her boyfriend if you've been living under a rock for the last two years. Most notably Swift announced her new album "Life of a Showgirl" set to release on Oct. 3. On top of that, the conversation trended towards Swift going from football novice, to knowing her stuff when it comes to the gridiron.
"I didn't know what a first down was, I didn't know what the chains were, I didn't know what a tight end was," Swift admitted. "(But) Oh my God I fell in love with it. I became obsessed with it. I became like a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, 'We drafted Xavier Worthy!' My friends are like what is … who body-snatched you? What do you mean we drafted Xavier Worthy?
Travis chimed in admitting he didn't even know the Kansas City Chiefs drafted the former Texas star.
"You were the first person to tell me that we drafted the fastest man in the draft," Travis said laughing.
Swift was pumped about KC's first-round addition in the 2024 draft.
"I was screeching," she said. "I couldn't believe it."
Worthy went on to have a strong rookie season, even catching two touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl. He became the first-ever former Texas player to score a touchdown in the Super Bowl, marking a big career highlight, despite falling to the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22.
