Young Kings (Carter, Clifford, Jones) excelling in Rico Hines offseason runs

Law Murray, NBA reporter for The Athletic, recently sat in on Rico Hines’ offseason runs, which often feature a slew of NBA players.

At Tuesday’s run, Sacramento Kings young players Devin Carter, Nique Clifford, Isaac Jones, Daeqwon Plowden, and Maxime Raynaud continued to win games, Murray told The Drive Guys.

“I just noticed they kept winning games,” Murray said. One of their new additions caught his eye in particular.

I don’t think those dudes lost a single game for an hour straight of runs

“I saw a dude hitting threes, getting dunks, handling the ball confidently,” he said. “He ain’t just some dude. He looked like knows what he’s doing out here.”

Turns out it was newly acquired two-way wing Plowden showing why he belongs.

“It was a notably good day for those [all of those] guys,” Murray said.

Murray also responded to a fan online who questioned how Carter played, joking that his shot isn’t pretty, but it goes in.

With a potential opportunity for everyone out there to crack Sacramento’s rotation this coming season, their offseason development remains essential.
