All the latest injury news surrounding Tottenham and Burnley ahead of their Premier League opener.

Tottenham are finally back in Premier League action on Saturday when they face the returning Burnley after a busy week that saw Thomas Frank’s men take on PSG in the Super Cup. All focus is now on the return of the Premier League, and Spurs will be desperate to get off on the right foot after a disastrous campaign of last.

Here we round up all the latest injury news surrounding both Tottenham and Burnley heading into their Premier League opener.

Zeki Amdouni - Out

Amdouni suffered a serious knee injury during pre-season and he will now miss a significant portion of the season, if not all of it.

Bashir Humphreys - Out

Humphreys is going to need significant preparation after missing out on pre-season. Parker said: “Bash is still struggling a little bit with an issue that he's got. He is on the grass, but things are moving pretty slowly with Bash, so we're just treading a little bit carefully and trying to get some work into him. We're just monitoring that on a daily basis. But it’s the same issue [as last season], it's an ongoing issue. He picked up his work and he had a little bit of a setback.

“It's a delicate one with Bash and obviously we don't want to take any risk. Certainly, if he's in pain – which, at this present moment in time, that’s not the case by the way – at this present moment in time, we've stepped it up and he's out of pain. So hopefully he’s not too far away, but he's missed a big chunk of pre-season. His pre-season will start as soon as he's back with us.”

Conor Roberts - Doubt

Parker said last week: “Connor played this morning in a game. I think he got about 65 to 70 minutes, so that was pleasing. He just had a slight problem, but we're managing that and he's in a good place at the moment.” Roberts will be a doubt but he should be available.

Zian Flemming - Doubt

The same goes for Flemming, albeit with less minutes in his legs. Parker has said: "Zian has just started up training again. He picked up an early injury in pre-season and he's just on his way back now. He's not had any minutes, but hopefully he'll be training this week with us.”

Radu Dragusin - Out

Dragusin suffered a ruptured ACL back in the winter, and he is not likely to play until late Autumn to early winter. There is still a long road ahead of the defender.

Dejan Kulusevski - Out

Kulusevskis is going to remain out for at least a few weeks yet. Frank said when last asked: “I don’t like to put a timeline on it. Put it this way, he’s not ready for the first game of the season.”

Bryan Gil - Out

Gil remains out with a knee injury, and it’s unclear when he will return. Ange Postecoglou said back in March: “He has a knee injury and needs to speak with Dr. Cugat. We'll see if it's an operation or not. If he has surgery, he could be out for the entire season. But more tests need to be done, and Cugat will decide. It's clear that things aren't looking good, but since tests are still pending, we'll see.”

Manor Solomon - Doubt

Solomon has been dealing with a knee injury and he wasn’t ready to return for the PSG game. he will remain a real doubt here.

Kota Takai - Doubt

Takai has been struggling with a foot injury. Frank said in late July: “Kota got a plantar fascia injury, unfortunately, we don’t know the scale of it - weeks!” Takai also missed the PSG game and will remain a doubt.

James Maddison - Out

Maddison is now likely to miss much of the season after suffering a serious knee injury. Frank said after the Newcastle game: “It's most likely he has a bad injury, we need to be honest with that, it's the same knee as the previous injury. Of course, we don't know the full assessment of it, so we need to see that.” It has since been confirmed that Maddison suffered a ruptured ACL that required surgery.
