Sunderland's Jenson Seelt could be on his way out of the club. The 22-year-old defender is expected to head to the Netherlands, according to the latest claims from the Dutch press.

He has played just 18 games since moving to the Stadium of Light in 2023. A knee injury forced him to spend the majority of the past 12 months on the sidelines and didn’t make an appearance for [Sunderland](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/all-about/sunderland)’s first team last season.

NEC Nijmegen can open the door for him this summer as De Gelderlander reports they have identified the centre-back as a target. On Tuesday, the Premier League newcomers completed the signing of centre-back Omar Alderete from Getafe.

Following the Pargauayan’s arrival, De Gelderlander now report Seelt is now free to leave’ Régis Le Bris’ side.Voetbal International are also reporting the Eredivisie club have set their sights on Seelt and want to sign him in this window.

According to VI, the Dutchman impressed Le Bris during the pre-season, but Sunderland feel he’s not yet ready for the Premier League. A loan deal to continue his development is considered the best option and this favours NEC Nijmegen, who have been planning to sign him for the past few weeks.

Meanwhile, a partnership with LiveScore Group has been announced by Sunderland ahead of Saturday’s big kick-off.

As a principal partner, the global sports media and betting brand will have a significant presence on Wearside during the upcoming campaign, with fan experience at the heart of the agreement.

LiveScore Group will be celebrating the loyalty and championing the passion of the red and white army throughout the season, with a range of unique experiences and rewards planned. As the club’s official sleeve partner, LiveScore Bet’s branding will also take pride of place on the iconic red and white stripes from this weekend when the Black Cats host West Ham United at the Stadium of Light.
