Rasmus Hojlund Man Utd
Manchester United broke the bank to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and the Slovenian international is expected to be the main striker for Amorim in the 2025-26 season.
In such a scenario, Rasmus Hojlund, who has failed to prove himself in the Premier League, is an unwanted man at Old Trafford.
News –“Tremendous player” prepared to sign for Manchester United – Report
We recently covered a story via La Gazzetta Dello Sport claiming that AC Milan are willing to agree a deal to sign Hojlund from Manchester United. However, the Danish international was not interested in joining the Rossoneri.
Fortunately, agents and intermediaries have been able to change his mind as per the latest reports coming from Italy.
According to Corriere dello Sport, after a call between the club and the forward’s agents, negotiations have been unblocked on the basis of a loan with an option to buy.
The Rome based media outlet have mentioned that the seven-time European champions are now trying to reach a financial agreement with the former Atalanta boy.
He currently earns around £83,000 a week and Milan are prepared to match that for Hojlund but he would also like guarantees for the future.
As per today’s edition of La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan are prepared to reach a deal worth 40 million euros, including the temporary transfer fee and the option to buy.
The 22-year-old striker’s father has told the Italian giants that a transfer is being seriously considered.
However, the Milan based news source have mentioned that Hojlund wants guarantees of a buyout in 2026, either with a direct commitment from the Serie A side, or with a fee (clause).
Last season, former Chelsea forward, Pulisic, was the top scorer in the league for the San Siro outfit with 11 goals.
In his last stint in Italy, Hojlund scored 9 goals in 32 league appearances for Atalanta, and only netted 4 goals in 32 PL games for Manchester United last term.
Can AC Milan get the best out of him? Only time will tell.
