Arsenal are said to have received an offer for one of their reliable deputies.

Arsenal have reportedly received an offer for a player they face a big decision over this summer. The Gunners are now focusing on offloading unwanted players as they look to balance their huge spending a little in another summer of more than £200million of outlay.

There are handful of players who do not have a future at the Emirates Stadium, but there will also be difficult decisions to make when it comes to players who are used on a supplementary or back-up basis.

Those players may find themselves wanting to move on to get more regular starts, and the two players who largely fit into that box are Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard. Both players are likely to play supplementary roles this season, and both are likely to have opportunities to be starters elsewhere.

Kiwior, in particular, has been heavily linked with a move after he finished last season in fine form, stepping in at centre-back to deputise for Gabriel Magalhaes. According to Tuttomercatoweb,AC Milan have now made an offer for Kiwior, although the value of the offer is not stated. Arsenal are reportedly asking for £21.5million to £25.8million to agree a sale.

The Gunners signed Cristhian Mosquera to add depth to the defence this summer, but they may feel they need to sign another if they sell Kiwior.

Kiwior is valued at Arsenal

Kiwior initially adapted to play at left-back for Arsenal, with Arteta saying of that change: “We have made it difficult for him for two reasons: one because he hasn’t played that many minutes, and secondly because we’ve asked him to play in a position that he’s never played in before. It is like pulling William Saliba into full-back and saying: ‘tomorrow, perform and do what we have to do.’

“I think he has adapted really well and he is playing better and better, you can tell that he is earning the confidence and physically he is better. He understands the role much better and he has been really good.”

The defender then reverted to centre-back last season when Gabriel was lost to injury, and Arteta added: “We lost, perhaps, our best defender for four months, and then Jakub Kiwior came in and showed the results he is demonstrating…It's no coincidence."

Kiwior said in the Spring amid his solid performances: “I feel very good on the pitch with everyone because we have a great relationship and we talk a lot with each other,” Jakub said. “We're prepared no matter who the opponent is. We live very well on and off the pitch, so I feel I have a good connection with anyone on the pitch, it doesn't matter who I'm playing with.

“The coach tries to talk to the players not only about the things on the pitch, but also about different things in life, so we have this good relationship because he cares about us. He helps me very well because I'm always prepared. Even when I was sitting on the bench, I could feel the help from the coach that he was always prepared for me. Especially now, when he needs me, I'm always 100% ready to help the team.”
