Manchester City have been told that one of the players in their ranks is similar to Bernardo Silva.
The Citizens have worked hard to revamp their squad this year, bringing in a host of exciting players in something akin to a changing of the guard.
The likes of Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and James Trafford have all arrived at the Etihad Stadium in recent months.
Pundit Robbie Mustoe has now spoken about Manchester City’s signings this summer as he likened one of them to Bernardo Silva.

Rayan Cherki likened to Bernardo Silva
The player in question is Rayan Cherki, who joined City to much fanfare before the Club World Cup and has looked encouraging in pre-season.
Mustoe, speaking on the 2 Robbies podcast, assessed City’s main summer signings, and suggested Cherki is similar to Bernardo.

“Reijnders looks a really good player,” said Mustoe. “Reijnders, the midfield player, watched the game the other day. He got two.
“He almost, he should have scored three. He looks a really good number eight, like a really clever, skillful, exciting player. I like the sound of him.
“Rayan Cherki is a clever little Bernardo Silva-type, an assisting player, a tricky little player.
“And Rayan Ait-Nouri, you know, from Wolves Rob (Earle), is very, very good going forward, but not a good defender.”

The likelihood of Rayan Cherki starting vs Wolves
Cherki has had a decent start to life at City and looked bright against Palermo as he sought to get on the ball whenever he could in order to create opportunities.
The 21-year-old has visibly improved since his debut, during which Pep Guardiola seemed to get annoyed at Cherki due to some of the flicks he was trying to pull off.
Obviously you couldn’t read too much into his debut, given he had only been with his new teammates for a few days, but the important thing is that he is going from strength to strength.
With Phil Foden nursing a knock and Omar Marmoush not at his best in Italy, there’s a good chance that Cherki could be handed his Premier League debut against Wolves.
