The latest Man Utd transfer news as we enter the final few weeks of the summer window.

Manchester United have prioritised exits in the final few weeks of the summer transfer window as Ruben Amorim looks to trim the fat on a bloated first-team squad. United have allowed ten players to leave on loan this summer but have yet to sanction a permanent exit for any senior star.

Time is running out if the four remaining members of their 'bomb squad' are to be moved on before deadline day, while there are several others who don't have a clear future at the club. United's biggest issue is in the forward line where they are looking to offload four players over the next fortnight to accommodate their new attacking additions.

Amorim was backed with roughly £200 million to bring Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to the club and they would like to recoup as much of that as possible with exits for Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, Jadon Sancho and Antony before deadline day.

Rasmus Hojlund exit moving 'slowly'

Manchester United have made it clear to Rasmus Hojlund that he has fallen behind Benjamin Sesko in the pecking order and would be best advised leaving the club this summer. The 22-year-old would still prefer to remain at Old Trafford for another season in an effort to prove his worth, though it is understood he is now more open to a possible departure.

AC Milan are expected to make an initial loan offer with the option to buy the Danish international and Fabrizio Romano has issued an update on his immediate future at the club.

"Rasmus Hojlund at the moment is still not giving any final decision but he has started to open the doors to a potential exit in this summer transfer window. So slowly getting there," he said in his latest YouTube video.

"I am told this deal is not one expected to happen very quickly, so it is not expected to happen tomorrow (Thursday), or on Friday. Forget about that, there is still work to do. But Milan and Man United are talking on a loan deal, €6m loan fee, salary covered and a buy option clause of around €40m to €45m, but also they need to reach an agreement with the player. If it is going to be a loan with an eventual buy option, if they sign the player in 2026 the contract has to be written.

"Talks took place between the agents of Hojlund and Milan. So talks are ongoing and the expectation for Rasmus Hojlund to go and leave Manchester United this summer remains. The player still wants to fight for a place at Manchester United but what I'm told is that Man United have made clear with Hojlund they want him to go. Milan is an option, Leipzig wanted him in the Sesko deal but it was not possible.

"For sure Hojlund is expected to be one of the names of the final days of the summer transfer window."
