Leeds United fans are looking forward to their opening Premier League match against Everton on Monday.
The Whites are returning to the top flight after winning the Championship last season, and have spent well in the transfer window to ensure they can remain there.
It has proven difficult for promoted teams to keep their spot in the Premier League. In both of the past two seasons, all three teams that went up from the Championship were immediately relegated.
However, it’s hoped that experienced and exciting players like Anton Stach and Jaka Bijol can strengthen the Leeds team and give them a great chance of surviving.

Rooney makes encouraging prediction for Leeds ahead of new season
It’s that time of the year when every pundit is asked to make their predictions for the new season.

During his appearance as a pundit on Match of The Day on Wednesday, Wayne Rooney was given some time to share his thoughts on what would happen in this season’s Premier League.
Although he wasn’t given much time to explain his thoughts, he did predict that Leeds would finish highest of the three promoted teams.

Rooney wasn’t asked to name the three teams that he thought would be relegated, so his prediction should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Indeed, it wouldn’t be much of an achievement for Leeds to finish about Burnley and Sunderland if they finished 18th and still got relegated.
However, the Whites should take comfort in the fact that they’ve spent well enough in the transfer market to be considered the most well-equipped promoted team to beat the drop.
Daniel Farke might also be quietly confident that his team can usurp other teams tipped to struggle this season, such as Wolves or Brentford.
