Fulham’s negotiations with Atalanta for Rodrigo Muniz have been given fresh layers in Brazil, with [Globo Esporte confirming](https://ge.globo.com/futebol/futebol-internacional/noticia/2025/08/13/atalanta-faz-proposta-de-r-250-milhoes-por-rodrigo-muniz-ex-flamengo.ghtml?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=Esporte&utm_campaign=globoEsporte) the €35m (£29.3m) plus €5m (£4.2m) bonus offer first revealed by Sky Italia.
The Brazilian outlet stresses that Fulham are “playing hardball” and want more than the €40m package currently on the table, [even as talks remain active](https://sportwitness.co.uk/watch-out-for-leeds-competitor-warned-about-whites-important-proposal-from-farkes-side-awaited/). It’s also highlighted that Atalanta see the 24-year-old not only as Mateo Retegui’s replacement but as cover for the possible exit of Ademola Lookman.
Globo Esporte go further with performance context: Muniz started just 13 of his 36 league appearances last season, meaning he only had 1,355 minutes of football, compared to 23 starts the campaign before.
There’s also a clear financial angle for his former club Flamengo, who sold him in 2021 but retained 25% of a future sale and a 5% solidarity payment. Should Fulham accept Atalanta’s €35m fixed offer, the Rio club would pocket around €10.5m (£8.8m).
Teammate Andreas Pereira has even posted a “Se queda” message on Instagram, urging him to stay – a nod to Gerard Piqué’s famous post with Neymar in 2017, only for the forward to leave Barcelona soon after. We will see what happens this time after Pereira’s potential jinx.
