Manchester United youngster Toby Collyer has been the subject of interest from the Championship.

Over a dozen Championship clubs have enquired about Collyer's availability on loan and the midfielder is understood to be considering his options before making a decision.

Hull City are a leading contender and their manager, Sergej Jakirovic, has confirmed talks with Collyer.

"We're waiting now for a decision from Man United and Toby as well," Jakirovic told Hull Live.

"I'm waiting for the answer in the next one or two days. He needs the minutes, and with that, we will help him and he will help us

"In a game, he can run 12km, he's good on the ball and he's a bit like Joel Ndala. He has a big potential, and he has hunger and ambition, and this is what we're searching for."

Hull are hopeful of wrapping up a deal for Collyer, but they face stiff competition from other teams in the second tier and no final decision has been communicated from the midfielder.

Collyer has attracted intense Championship interest after breaking into the first-team at Old Trafford last season. The 21-year-old made his Premier League debut against Liverpool in September and made 13 senior appearances in total.

The Manchester Evening News recently reported Collyer would not be considered as a makeweight in a potential deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba.

Last summer, a source discussed Erik ten Hag's fondness for Collyer and another source said he records 'freakish' running stats in training that are only bettered by Bruno Fernandes.

Ruben Amorim has also praised Collyer. "He has very good legs, he's improving with the ball. He knows what he needs to do to play for this club and feels the club in the right way. He's really humble and when you work hard, you get the opportunity," said Amorim in January.
